C&H Are Rebranding!

C&H has been trading on British High Streets for the last 84 years. During that period, we have operated under a variety of names, though always within the C&H brand. C&H Fabrics, C&H and Craft & Home have all been incarnations of the same business, started by Harold Closs and Cyril Hamblin in 1933.

In 2016, we have taken the decision to undergo a more substantial rebrand to Closs & Hamblin. A direct acknowledgement of the two founders of the business, which is still run by Cyril Hamblin’s great grandchildren to this day! Our new strapline – ‘Home & Haberdashery since 1933’ is reflective of the age and heritage of the Company, while acknowledging the two core product areas of our business.

We know we will always be C&H to our long-standing members of staff, and hugely loyal customerbase, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! However we would also like to encourage new customers of all ages who may be less familiar with the unique and diverse product range that we offer. We hope these changes will allow us to maintain our traditional values in a more contemporary setting.

The new branding is now viewable at our recently relocated Guildford Store, in our Winchester store and online. Our traditional green and gold livery will be replaced with a sophisticated blue and mushroom colour scheme as the business repositions itself for the challenges of retail in the modern landscape.

Our stores will all be rebranded in due course, though financial constraints and personnel capacity will mean this will take us slightly longer to achieve in some towns than others. We hope most of our business will be under the new look by the end of 2017.

As valued customers, we very much hope you like our new style! Our commitment to customer service, value and quality remains the same today as it did in 1933. Thank you for your continued business and loyal support. We hope we will still be thriving in another 84 years’ time!
