CARD MAKING CLASS
Book ahead

Every Tuesday from 10.30am to 1pm
£15 per class or £50 for 4 classes

Would you like to try card making? Our classes will show you how!
Each week you will create 2 cards using different techniques and everything you need will be provided for you - just bring yourself! 
Spaces are limited to 8 per class.

Each class costs £15 per person or you can book 4 sessions in advance for just £50.

KNIT AND NATTER
Drop-in

Every Friday & Saturday from 10am to 2pm

Join our Knit And Natter group for the opportunity to spend some time with like minded creative people who enjoy using yarn. 
Spaces are limited to 8 per class.

We have both knitters and those who love to crochet.

It is a social group with all levels of ability, so whether you are experienced or just starting, feel free to drop in.

MAKE A SIMPLE TOTE BAG WORKSHOP
£25 per person


Tuesday, 7th August 
5:45pm-7:45pm 

Learn how to make a simple tote bag, and embellish it using a variety of techniques, e.g. Applique in a contrast fabric, or personalise with the application of ribbon, braid or trim. The tutor will make every effort to support you in creating something special and unique, so please do think about what you would like your finished bag to look like.

COURSE OUTLINE:
The course includes learning how to sew a simple bag, finishing the inside edges, or using lining. Making and attaching an inside pocket and securely fixing handles.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
You will need to choose and pay for 50cm of fabric for the outer bag and 50cm of fabric for the lining, if desired. We will provide a selection of ribbons and trims, thread and webbing for handles. Sewing Machines will be available or bring your own if preferred.

KNIT & NATTER

There is nothing better than knitting together with a whole bunch of yarn lovers who share your passion for beautiful handmade projects. We're not a knitting class so please bring your own project and material.

Even if you haven't started knitting yet but would like some advice on how and where to begin, you are welcome to join this group. These are drop-in sessions so no booking required. Please head to the first floor in the dress department.

DRESSMAKING COURSE
£65 for a 4-week course


Tuesdays, 7th – 28th August

A friendly class with very approachable tutor, no question too small! Dawn will help build your confidence whilst guiding you through making a dress/skirt or even a shirt. This can be for a child or an adult to suit your skill level.

- Learn how to choose a pattern suited to your skill level
- Fabric selection
- Understanding patterns
- Sewing techniques  

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Basic dress making kit (scissors, chalk/pencil, pins, tape measure, stitch un-picker)
- Sewing machine where possible (so we can help you with any problems that arise, we can provide one if needed)

- Learning different sewing techniques

STITCHSCAPE COURSE

Learn how to make a fabulous and unique embroidered landscape with Beth from Dotty Textiles. You will be taught how to lay out your chosen fabrics and play with composition, prepare the fabrics for stitching and how to embroider the different kinds of patterns with hand stitches to make a textured scene.

You will need to bring: 15cm wooden embroidery hoop, 30cm mid-weight square of calico, a selection of 5+ cotton fabrics (a mix of plain and patterned is recommended), matching embroidery threads, needles and scissors. Ribbons, lace or beads could also be brought to enhance your stitchscape.

Consider what type of landscape you would like to create; a sandy shore line, green rolling hills, blue mountain ranges or golden wheat fields. The combinations are endless and the design is up to you!
