New for 2022, Wax Lyrical has combined its 42 years of fragrance experience with Portmeirion, celebrating 50 years of the iconic Botanic Garden, and created a range of lovingly crafted candles, reed diffusers and hand care to transport you to your happy place. Based on the Portmeirion Botanic Garden Sugar Pots featuring traditional Botanic Garden illustrations, both Candle and Reed diffuser use the same base with engraved wooden lids.

Blends, fragrances and vessels are all British made and presented in beautiful boxes making them a special treat for oneself or the perfect gift. Sweet Pea is a fresh floral fragrance with top notes of violet, ylang and pepper supported by rose, mimosa and Sweet Pea resting on a base of precious woods, chamomile notes and orchid. Enjoy the ceramic reed diffuser time and time again with a handy refill pack including replacement reeds.

At Closs & Hamblin we offer FREE DELIVERY to UK Mainland addresses for orders over £50 (exclusions apply, see * below) 

Orders are usually delivered Monday to Friday, between 8am - 8pm. Sometimes orders may arrive in more than 1 parcel.

We endeavour to process and deliver your order as quickly as possible. 

Please inform us of any specific delivery instructions at the checkout stage. 

Depending on the size and value of your order, it will be sent using either Royal Mail First Class (£3.95) or a signed-for courier (DHL or Hermes) service (£5.50). We will calculate the correct delivery method for your order on the ‘Delivery’ page at checkout (exclusions apply, see * below)

* There will be a £4.99 surcharge for items over 120cm (curtain poles & blinds) this will appear in the basket.

* There will be a £9.99 surcharge for JAB Anstoetz, Carlucci & Chivasso orders of £100 or less as these will be shipped from Germany.

If you wish to return an item for an exchange or refund, you must inform us within 14 days. 

You can return orders to selected retail stores free of charge, to find your nearest store that accept returns please click here. Refund transactions cannot be made by our stores but will be forwarded to our web team for processing.

Delivery charges are non-refundable.

If your goods are not faulty you must return them to us at your own cost, unused and in their original, unopened packaging.

If your goods are faulty or arrive damaged you must inform us within 7 working days. We are happy to replace faulty items but may require proof of damage, or the items to be returned to us for verification. When we have agreed that the item is faulty, we will be happy to replace it and refund any carriage costs incurred to replace the item.

To arrange for an exchange or refund, please use the following steps;

  • Email us at quoting your name and order number.
  • Please advise which item/s you wish to return and whether you would like the item/s exchanged or a refund.

Please allow up to 7 working days for your refund to be processed once the goods have been received by C&H.


Cut Fabrics, Cut PVC, made to measure curtain poles, paints, lampshades, chairs and CLEARANCE items are non-returnable unless faulty.

Curtain Poles & Rugs - Please contact us by the email above to confirm a returns address for this item.

Ready Made Curtains - Cannot be refunded or returned if they have been altered or the heading tape has been pulled. 

Wallpaper - We are unable to accept returns of part orders of wallpaper. Returns will be charged a re-stocking fee of 10%.

We regret that specifically cut fabrics, nets, tapes and PVC cloths will only receive a 50% refund as they have been cut from a roll and can only be resold as a half price remnant. For this reason, we recommend that you request a sample before ordering a large amount.

Gift vouchers cannot be returned or refunded except in accordance with your legal rights.

We offer our customers the facility to return or exchange items bought online by contacting our web team or in selected Closs & Hamblin high street stores (excluding concessions and showrooms).

You can find full Delivery and Returns details HERE, refund transactions cannot be made directly by our stores but will be forwarded to our web team for processing, within seven working days.

If your order arrives damaged or your goods are faulty, please inform us within 7 days of receiving it. If you would like to return your order because you have changed your mind, please contact us within 14 days - email the web team at and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase and any returns note we include with your order. If you did not receive a returns label, please download either a return by courier form or a return to store form.

Certain items, which are sent directly by our suppliers, will not contain an invoice or returns note. In this case, if you wish to return these items please download, print and fill in our one or the return forms mentioned above.

Alternatively, inform our web team at that you wish to return the order and request a returns form to be sent via email.

EXCEPTIONS: (but not limited to) We regret we cannot accept returns on the following items unless they are damaged or faulty:
