Our single floor, however, has not limited us to the range of products we carry and if anything means you don not have to walk as far to find everything you might need! The store very roughly fits into three departments. As you enter, you are met with our colourful made-to-measure curtain libraries. These offer a decent selection of fabrics that can be made up to a customer’s specific measurements in 10 working days in a variety of headings and various accessories to match. We also have a fantastic range of ready made curtains which we keep in stock and are available to take away immediately. Cushions and household goods are also found here.

Through the centre of the store we have our giftware and fashion ranges. Picture frames, diaries, chinaware, collectables are but a few of the competitively priced goodies that we have on offer. We also boast a large range of ladies handbags, both fashionable and functional and a comprehensive range of ladies footwear.

Turning left into our bespoke furnishing department, you will find our made-to-measure blind department. While we offer basic stock ranges of roller blinds and blackouts, we can have all sorts of blinds made to your exact requirements by a host of suppliers. Roller blinds, Romans, Vertical, Venetian, Shutters as well as many more unusual products are available. We also carry a good range of both wood and metal curtain poles as well as plastic and metal tracks for hanging your curtains on but can offer hundreds more alternatives to order from our catalogues. We have over two hundred rolls of furnishing fabrics in stock as well as pattern books and swatch hangers from household names such as Sanderson, William Morris, Jane Churchill, Harlequin, Romo and Jab to name but a few. We back ourselves to have something to suit every taste and requirement. Heading tapes and linings are also available. It may be that you are happy making your curtains up yourself. In which case feel free to ask manager Ruth Nelson-White or her friendly team for advice or help with calculations. If you are not as comfortable a needle and thread or would simply rather somebody else did it then do ask about our FREE Home Measuring Service. We will come out to you with samples and ideas to be discussed in the comfort of your own home and take all necessary measurements that we need. We offer hand made bespoke soft furnishings made locally by our makers in any of our fabrics. We can design cushions and roman blinds to accompany as well. We even have a team of experienced track-fitters who can come and install any of our products professionally into your home and we can guarantee the quality of their work.

Last but by no means least, at the back of the store are our dress fabric, craft, haberdashery and yarn departments. Over 10,000 product lines are housed here and will inspire creativity in anyone. Whether patchworking, dress-making or going to a fancy-dress party, we have plenty of suitable fabrics and patterns. Manager Marion Stanway and her team have an amazing wealth of product knowledge and are always enthusiastic to help out with projects you are doing or encourage new people to take up these hobbies. Knitting appears to be something on the ascendancy on a national scale and our department boasts an enormous amount of stock and diversity as well as all the requisite accessories. The craft departments has extensive ranges of beads, jewelry-making bits and bobs, papercraft, tapestry and cross stitch kits, childrens’ kits, jigsaws and a myriad of other bits and pieces. The ‘Haby’ wall has all those other essentials such as needles, sewing accessories, trims, ribbons and so on.
